My passion for Mexico, its interior design and architecture, its people and their love for life; as well as my admiration for Massimo Listri ― whose talent and long friendship I have cherished for over twenty years — have been the source of inspiration for this project.
Mexico is a country that exudes sensuality. Its long tradition of extraordinary architecture both vernacular and contemporary, its exuberance, colors, scales and proportions, is apparent in the exceptional buildings and homes that can be found throughout the country. The wealth of Mexico’s pre-Columbian and colonial heritage, as well as the design legacy of leading figures such as Luis Barragan and Ricardo Legorreta have been passed down from generation to generation.
The result is apparent in the work of the many talented architects and designers in this country today. Casa Mexicana embraces architecture of enormous diversity, from the lush coastlines of the Pacific Ocean, to the green plains of Yucatan, the jungles of Campeche, the colonial streets of San Miguel de Allende, the centennial haciendas of Colima, and the modern skyline of Mexico City.
