Frank Lloyd Wright created Organic Architecture, from which most modern architecture developed. He broke with existing conventional and traditional forms; he freed architecture from its ages of classical imprisonment; he perceived and mad e more 1ntnns1c uses of materials; he innovated systems of building and construction; he created forms and spaces never before imagined in the world of architecture.
All of this was communicated by means of one basic expression: drawing. He could express any idea that came into his imagination with pencil and paper.
His pencil wasーin fact—an adept tool by way of which forms, shapes, space, techniques, all solutions conjured within his mind could be expressed to the builder, instructing him to give form to the great works of architecture he left to humanity.
